Read the latest news releases. 05/15/2014 11:45 AM EDT The U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy and the National Council on Disability invite the public to participate in an online dialogue on the importance of technology accessibility and usability, particularly in regards to the universal design in the development of workplace technology products. The virtual town hall runs from today, May 15, Global Accessibility Awareness Day, to Friday, May 30. "Advancing Accessibility and Inclusion in Social Media – The Tech Industry Perspective" is the second of three online events on social media accessibility co-hosted by ODEP and NCD. 05/15/2014 08:30 AM EDT In the week ending May 10, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 297,000, a decrease of 24,000 from the previous week's revised level. This is the lowest level for initial claims since May 12, 2007 when they were 297,000. The previous week's level was revised up by 2,000 from 319,000 to 321,000. The 4-week moving average was 323,250, a decrease of 2,000 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 500 from 324,750 to 325,250.
